June V. Hoapili passed away January 12, 2011 in Kingman, AZ at the age of 86. She was born to Elbert and Lula (French) Harris on October 12, 1924 in Burton, WA.June moved to Lake Havasu City in 1988 from Anaheim, CA after her retirement from Anaconda. She enjoyed spending time boating on the lake with her brother Harold, her sister, Mae, nephew Ron and niece Nancy and numerous friends. June was a member of the VFW Post 9401 and the American Legion Post 81. She was a member of the Lake Havasu City Drinking and Carousing Society. She was a good friend to everyone she knew in her club affiliations. She loved to laugh and joke with everyone. She loved reading everything she could get her hands on and worked crossword puzzles everyday.June is survived by her loving daughter Joyce Hicks; her loving granddaughters Deena Drake of San Diego, CA, Tamera Wimpee of Kingman, AZ; her grandsons Greg Brumbaugh of Hurricane, UT, Mark and Chuck German of Ridgecrest, CA and Dale and David Kizziar of Winchester, CA; nephew Ron Keck and his wife Kim of Lake Havasu City.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Alvin Hoapili whom she married June 9, 1967; two daughters Janet Kizziar and Joanne Drake, brother Harold Harris and two sisters Helen Hansen and Mae Keck.June will be dearly missed by all who knew her.A celebration of life will follow at a later date.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
