Doris C. Sanders passed away January 28, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 90. She was born to Ernest and Dorothy (Foss) Pfeiffer on February 24, 1920 in Grand Island, NE.Doris married her best friend Bill J. Sanders on August 8, 1971 and together they made Lake Havasu their home 21 years ago from San Diego, CA. She was employed by JC Penney for 40 years. Doris was very active in the Lutheran Church and enjoyed helping with the Women Guild. She was a great cook and loved to entertain. Just ask any of her family and they will tell you, she was just as loving as she was tough as nails.Doris leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Bill Sanders; son, Billy and his wife Norma Jean; three stepchildren, Gary Sanders, Debbie Spencer and Cheryl Sorah; sister Bernice Pfeiffer; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and one son Jimmy.Doris will be greatly missed by all who knew her.Memorial services will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
