Obituary of Frances ALTHAUS

Frances Stone Althaus died February 18, 2011 in Kingman, AZ after a long illness. She was born January 15, 1924, to Frances V. and Walter C. Stone of Washington D.C. She attended Sacred Heart School and Academy and after high school graduation, worked for the American Red Cross. She married Donald C. Althaus in 1946 and they settled in the Washington D.C. area, where she raised her family. She was active in her church for a number of years, holding a variety of paid and volunteer positions. Her husband passed away in 2005 and she moved to Arizona in 2007 to be closer to her son. Frances is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Sheila Althaus of Lake Havasu City, AZ; two grandchildren, Kevin Althaus and Megan Watson, and three great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home of Lake Havasu City, AZ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said March 1, 2011 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Rockville, MD with interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com
