Obituary of Doris SHEPHERD

Doris Dorene Shepherd went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 85. She was born to Clark and Edna (Palmer) Dage on April 7, 1925 in Blooming Valley, S.D.Doris was a member of the Stonebridge Christian Fellowship. She enjoyed reading her Bible, quilting, sewing, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, having lunch at Cracker Barrel and playing cards with her children. She married her first husband, Lorin A. Murphy Sr. on June 1, 1942 and together they raised four wonderful children. After he preceded her death, she found love again on February 2, 1974 with Donald Shepherd and sadly, he also preceded her in death.Doris leaves behind her loving family, sons, Lee (Rhena) Murphy and Ray (Penny) Shepherd; daughters, Linda (Joe) Hardcastle, Leta (Murphy) Borges, Shirley (Bill) Rudzik and Leona (Shepherd) Barham; brother Mervin (Jessie) Dage; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Lorin Murphy Sr. and Donald Shepherd; son Lorin Murphy Jr. brothers, Lynn Dage and Herbert Dage and two sisters Alice (Dage) Coy and Vada (Dage) Haws.A celebration of Doris' life will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2011, 11:00 AM at Stonebridge Christian Fellowship.Donations are requested to go in Doris' name to the Building Fund at Stonebridge Christian Fellowship, 2700 S.
