Obituary of Donald OLSON

DONALD ALFRED OLSON JR.Donald Alfred Olson Jr. 68, passed away on March 9, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on May 13, 1942 in Chicago, IL. to Donald A. and Ethel K. (Kauffman) Olson Sr.Don worked as an electrician for Sterling Electrical in Lake Havasu City for 15 years, also working for Pioneer Hotel/ Holiday Inn, Croft Metals Inc. and Sterilite Inc. He graduated from Schurz High School in the class of 1961 in Chicago, IL before enlisting in the U S Army where he proudly served his country. Don was a member of the IBEW Local 134 in Chicago, IL, Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Lake Havasu City and American Legion Post 81 also in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He enjoyed "puttering" around the house with the family cars, was currently active with "Green Technology", solar & wind power, building, designing and using green houses.Don was survived by his loving family daughters Linda (Marc) Laude of Bremerton, WA and Kristin Olson of Spokane, WA; sister Marguerite (William)Luth of Garabaldi, OR; grandchildren Bethany, Donna, Catherine Laude of Bremerton, WA; nieces Jennifer (Kevin) Dykstra, Maggie and Grace of Glendale, WI and Megan Johnson and Tyler of Burlington, WI; nephew David (Jennifer) Luth and Owen of Chicago, IL.
