Obituary of Sharon HILDEBRAND

SHARON HILDEBRAND passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 12th, 2011 after a short battle with lung cancer. A celebration of life open house will be held at 3170 Tom Tom Dr. on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 1 - 4 pm.Sharon was born in Newton, Iowa to John and Edith Robson on September 7, 1941. Married to Jim Hildebrand in 1962 and moved to Southern California, where they both worked for Metropolitan Water District. Moving to Intake on the Lake in 1971, life was great with lots of boating, swimming and skiing. In 1994 they left the Met family and retired to Lake Havasu to live in their dream home. Sharon was a joiner. She joined the London Bridge Woman's club, Western Welcome, the Christian Woman's club and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she was baptized. She enjoyed playing Bunco all over town. She had a great group of friends she played cards and dominoes with. It'll be hard to fill her empty seat. She had a great sense of humor that will be missed by many but no more so than her own family.Throughout her life she enjoyed being a room mother, a Girl Scout leader, a golfer, a bowler. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and racing go-karts. She loved arts and crafts especially with her granddaughter and she was the best friend and mother a daughter could ever hope for. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years in Aug. 2009. Those left behind are her parents, John Robson and wife Helen, Edith Jones and husband Ernie; her sister Judy Schutty and husband Tony; her brother John; her daughter Christie and son-in-law Michael; granddaughter Brittany, and nieces and nephews.Donations can be made to New Hope Hospice in lieu of flowers for the wonderful comfort and care they gave Sharon and her family or a donation in Sharon's name to the Senior Center would be lovely too.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com Arrangements were place under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
