BETTY IRENE MIKKELSENBetty Irene Mikkelsen passed away on March 20, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 86. She was born to John Joseph Gall and Ethel (Darling) Gall on April 29, 1924 in Staten Island, NY.Betty lived in Staten Island NY until 1967 moving to Millington NJ from 1967 - 1996, then on to Tom's River, NJ from 1996 - 2007 and finally settling in Lake Havasu City in 2007. She attended Port Richmond High School Class of 42. She rode with the Staten Island Rangerettes from 1938 to 1942. Betty was a member of St. Roch's Roman Catholic Church, a Girl Scout leader for 8 years, and a Staten Island Hospital Volunteer.Betty was married on July 19, 1942 to her soul mate and love of her life of 68 years who survives her, husband Herland Travelle Mikkelsen of Lake Havasu City, AZ; loving daughters Ethel Christine Sloan of Hanford, CA and Elizabeth Jill Darling of Lake Havasu City, AZ; brother John Joseph Gall Jr. of Staten Island, NY; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Ethel Jean Gunning and Dorothy Anna Reynolds.A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday March 22, 2011 at Lietz-Fraze Chapel at 3:00 PM with Rev.
