Obituary of George CALVI

George Calvi passed away peacefully April 29, 2011 at the age of 90. He was an exceptional husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all.He retired from International Harvester (Navistar) in Chicago, IL. He spent several of his retirement years in Del Ray Beach, FL before relocating to Lake Havasu to be near his son. George served time in the Marine Corps from 1942 - 1945 and was extremely proud of that throughout his life. He married his beloved wife Rose on February 14, 1942. They shared 65 wonderful years together before her passing in 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose, son Kenneth, daughter MaryAnn, brother Joe and grandson Christian. He is survived by his son George (Sharon) of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren Vanessa, Carissa, Alfonse, Joshua, Christopher, Susie, Jason, Jennifer and Nicola. He also leaves behind seven great grandchildren; one nephew and two nieces.Services with military honors will be held at a later date in Chicago.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
