Orville F. Lutgen passed away May 16, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 84. He was born to Henry and Gladys (Taylor) Lutgen on May 17, 1926 in Huron, S.D.Orville served under the direction of the United States Army from July 1944 to July 1946 during World War II. He married his beloved bride, Carol Allison Stickles on January 22, 1947 and together they made Lake Havasu their home 23 years ago from Cambria, CA. Orville was a member of the Elks, American Legion, Moose and the Methodist Church. Orville leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Carol Lutgen of Lake Havasu City; son, Thomas Allen Lutgen of Barstow, CA; daughter Vicki Allison Coombs of Kingman, AZ; brother Harvey Lutgen of Maple Grove MN; sister Jean Biros of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Gladys Lutgen; brother Henry F. Lutgen and one great granddaughter Ashleigh Hans.A Lodge of Sorrows will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011, 11:00 AM at the Elks BPOE Lodge 2399.The family has asked that donations in Orville's memory go to New Hope Hospice, 500 N. Lake Havasu Ave., Suite B106, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 or Elks BPOE 2399, 3532 McCulloch Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86406.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
