I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I only heard about Gene's passing recently via the internet. Although I first met Gene in early grade school (135th St.) we mainly hung out during high school(Gardena High)and maybe 5 years or so after. Everyone seemed to go their separate ways after the mid-1970's and I haven't talked to Gene in probably 30+ years. I heard he moved to Havasu after his divorce and his dad passing, to be more help to his mom (if my memory serves me correctly). But evidently he moved back to Torrance until 10 years ago, then moving back to Havasu. I tried a couple times in the past to find Gene on the internet with no luck. I was always meaning to hook up with him and talk about old times. My last attempt at finding him led to the obituary listed on the internet. Again I'm so sorry to hear of Gene's passing and I will kick myself repeatly for not trying harder to find him. We had some good times.
