Obituary of Joan McIntyre

JOAN B. MC INTYRE passed away May 30, 2011 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 78. She was born to Ralph and Jessie (Maddox) Baker on February 27, 1933 in Alexandria, IN. Joan married her best friend, Keith Mc Intyre on April 6, 1963 and together they made Lake Havasu their home 25 years ago from Anderson, IN where she worked for Delco Remy Division of GMC as a quality control inspector for 30 years. She was very involved with her church. Joan loved painting, golfing, fishing and bowling. But most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Joan leaves behind her beloved husband of 48 years, Keith Mc Intyre of Lake Havasu; sons, Rick Fernung of Lake Havasu, Scott Mc Intyre of Merrillville, IN and Monte Mc Intyre of Chandler, AZ; daughter Dawn Barrett of Phoenix, AZ; brother Sherman Baker of Marion, IN; sister Linda Swafford of El Paso, TX; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Greg Mc Intyre; brothers Carl Baker and Fred Baker and sister Jenny Brown. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011, 2:00 PM at Church of Christ. Ministers Bill Reed and Jim Harrison will offer words of comfort and inspiration.
