Obituary of Jewel Leroy O'Neal

Jewel Leroy O'Neal, 78, passed away on December 11, 2015 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born to Gladys and Jewel O'Neal on August 18, 1937 in Bethany, Missouri. He served in the military as a U.S. Marine. While in service, he met the love of his life, Virginia Mae Nez and they were married in San Francisco, CA on March 7, 1958. They shared 59 loving years together. Jewels loved his family and his favorite thing to do was spend time with them. He loved to tease and be silly. He was a good man and he will be missed. He is survived by his wife, Virginia O'Neal of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughters, Connie Hernandez, Dianne Knapp; brothers, Gary O'Neal, Mike O'Neal; sister, Patricia Shepard; 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Lee O'Neal and brother, Dean O'Neal. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
