Amy Marie Phelps, of Parker, Arizona passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2018 at the age of 39.
Amy was born March 28, 1979 in Glendora, California to Larry and Diane Angle. She grew up mostly in Wrightwood, CA and graduated Palo Verde High School in Blythe, CA. Amy worked at Ironwood State Prison as a contracted Counselor for inmate group therapy. She also did bookkeeping in Blythe for farms.
Amy got married July 17, 2003 in Bullhead City, Arizona to Stevie Phelps. They had a treasured son together, Zachary Phelps. Amy had a special bond with her son. She loved and cherished him with all her heart and soul. He was her whole world.
Amy loved to cheer for her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers; she was a true fan. She also loved her many dogs, especially her Doberman, "Sadie." Amy had a great time with karaoke and sang her heart out.
Amy loved to engage with others in political debates. She had a big heart and frequently helped others through difficult times in their lives.
Amy is loved and missed by many.
Amy was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Opal L. Angle, maternal grandfather Max L. Nelson and her uncle Elton A. Hardie.
Amy is survived by her parents Larry and Diane Angle of Lake Havasu City, Az, husband Stevie Phelps of and son Zachary Phelps of Ehrenberg, AZ, paternal grandparents Gary and Ruth Angle of Kingman, AZ, maternal grandmother Lonna Nelson of Medford, OR, sister Tawyna (Jeff) Mosley, nieces Alexis, Maddie, and Abbey Mosley, nephew Mathew Mosley, great nephew Caiden Mosley, great niece Payton Ball all of Wrightwood, CA and many more friends and family.
There will be a Visitation held in Amy's honor Sunday, August 19, 2018, 6:00PM at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. The following day Monday, August 20, 2018 a Funeral Service will be held at 9:00AM in the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Chapel with a Graveside Service to follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
