Barbara J. Hinchee, 58, passed away August 28, 2004 at her home in Lake Havasu City after a long illness. She was born August 5, 1946 in Bozeman, Montana to Joe and Maxine (Cook) Dykman. Barbara grew up on a ranch in Montana and loved telling of her experiences riding the range with her father. After attending school at Montana State JC, she moved to Alaska in 1973 where she met and married her husband of 27 years, Rufus Hinchee. They moved to Lake Havasu City in 1984.Barbara has been employed by Arizona Department of Economic Security since 1989 and served as supervisor of Job Service since 1992 and in that capacity served on many civic and community committees. Barbara is survived by her husband Rufus Hinchee of Lake Havasu City, her mother Maxine Dykman, and a sister Anita Dykman of Montana, a brother Joe Dykman and wife Suzette and a niece Kaitlin and nephew Max of Nebraska. A celebration of her life will be held at the residence of Betty Crippin, 2593 Daytona Ave on Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at 2:30 PM. and friends are invited to attend.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Barbara's name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ. 86405.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
