How to Keep Your Loved Ones Closer to Your Heart

If you have lost someone you love, there are different ways to keep him or her close to you. At Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, we believe there are many ways to do this:

1. Select A Cemetery Close To Home

If the person has mentioned in their last wishes that they wanted to have a standard full burial, you can keep them close, by selecting a cemetery near your home. This gives you the flexibility to pay your respects at their gravesite when you wish while saving you money on traveling back and forth.

2. Plant A Tree

If your loved one liked nature, you can plant a tree in their memory. Some companies also help provide composting services where they incorporate a person’s ashes in a compost pod for you. You can use this to plant a tree or flowering bush in your backyard in your loved one’s memory.

3. Cremation

If you are looking for a way to take your deceased loved one with you to your residence (even if you live in another city, town or country), then consider cremation as an option rather than burial. You can carry your loved ones’ ashes in an urn with you and never need to travel hundreds or thousands of kilometers to visit a gravesite again.

4. Digital Photos

You can create a collection of digital photos of your loved ones and create a montage. It is a great way to reminisce about the wonderful times you shared with them.

As you can see, there are many different ways to keep your loved one close to you and you can opt for something that works best for you and your family. If you want to preplan a funeral, contact us at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. You can call us at (928) 855-4949 or (928) 753-2555 or use this form to contact us.
