When a family member passes, you have many things to organize during the funeral service. If you have never had to handle this responsibility in the past, you might not know how to go about the process. However, if you opt for the services of a reputable and experienced funeral home, you can be sure to get all the guidance and assistance you need with planning everything correctly.

We at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home help clients understand the process, what is involved, information about all the other services, and more. Here is an overview of what to expect before the funeral:

What To Expect Before the Funeral

This is the general process involved in planning a funeral:

  • If someone in your family passes, you would have to speak with a funeral director at a local funeral home. This professional will discuss all the details with you and understand what your specific requirements are. They will also answer all your questions and clear any doubts you may have. They can handle all aspects of the funeral and will help you make the best choices.

  • The funeral home can help with everything from transporting the body, organizing for the death certificate, and managing any permits, etc. They will help with the planning of the media presentation if you need it, the music flower arrangements, etc. If you have chosen burial, they will help you select a plot for it too.

  • During your discussions with them, they will provide you with information including the person’s name & SSN. The other pieces of information they would need include the spouse’s name, their children’s names (if any), and things like work history, etc.
