Thanksgiving is a time of the year to spend joyous moments with friends, loved ones and family. It is but human to go down memory lane on this occasion and experience the presence of the loved one who is no more with us. You can bring alive the memories of Thanksgivings that you spent with them, in various ways. Here are some ways to remember the departed soul during this time:

Use Nature To Memorialize Your Loved One

You can choose a happily growing plant to add to your garden if you have one. If not, just use a pot to plant it and put it in a beautiful planter at the entrance of your home. If the person loved nature, looking at the plant every day will give you some solace. As you care for the plant and it grows new shoots, your memories of the person will grow too.

Care For the Less Fortunate

If your loved one contributed to charitable causes, you can carry forward his or her legacy by helping a family in need during Thanksgiving. This act of charity will bring a smile on their faces during this time of good cheer. It shows how much you care for the causes your loved one held close to their heart and how precious his or her memory is to you.

Set Up A Memory Table

Set up a center table and display some of the possessions of your dear departed family member; it’s a great way to bring alive fond memories. You can ask friends and friends to add to the memory table.
